This is the way it should be done!!! I've used a few cocktail smokers before and was never that impressed when using matches, lighters, or even torches. THIS thing is on a whole other level. It's soooooooo easy, makes a ton of smoke, and setting up and taking down is a breeze. No lighters needed and you can't mess anything up. Just load the chips and press the button once, maybe twice if you want. Get this, you won't regret it!!! It comes with lots of chips which I imagine will last you quite a while. I haven't had to charge it yet so I'm not sure about the battery life, but I've used it at least 10 times and have had it for about a month and a half. It's super cool, works perfectly, and is convenient in every way.

My favorite of all the smokers I know. This automatic version of a cocktail smoker is my favorite. I've tried four or five different types over the years, and this one is by far the easiest. With simple smokers, it's difficult to keep the smoke in the glass instead of letting it float away. This one solves that problem by limiting the ignition method and forcing the smoke into the glass. Plus, there's no open flame and the risk of setting off the smoke alarm by the fifth glass of whiskey. The flavors are good, and it's nice to have a variety to choose from. I'll probably get a few more of these to give as gifts.

Included are hickory and beech wood, the unit itself, a plug, and an instruction manual. I was a little nervous about using it at first because of the heat and smoke it produces, but I quickly got the hang of it. Definitely try it with the window open the first time if you have overzealous smoke detectors! Although it's advertised as a whiskey smoker, I bought it for coffee blends, and it performed excellently for that, especially the beech wood. It feels sturdy, and I hope it lasts a long time. My only concern is where to get replacement wood if needed, but I'm hoping to use the same wood chips used for BBQ smokers here. Highly recommended!

Hey, we're men. It's more fun to experiment and possibly blow things up than to read an instruction manual. I didn't time it exactly, but when you press the button, smoke starts billowing almost immediately, and it's ready in just a few seconds. Definitely a good smoke flavor. After two smoked drinks, the chips have barely been used. After four drinks, there's still plenty of life left. Now I have to figure out how to secretly get one for my wife. The instructions are wrong, but it works great. I was so excited to get it, as I've been smoking manually the old fashioned way with a torch for years. I got the electric smoker and let it charge all day. I made my drink, put some chips in the cup, closed it up, and tried it out. I was able to get it to work once, but then not again. I finally sent it back and got another one. The instructions are bad, so I experimented with that, and now it works every time. Here's how to do it: Hold the top button until the green light flashes. This means it's in standby mode. Then press the button again until it's a solid green and the smoke starts pouring out. Since I figured that out, it's worked beautifully. The instructions are wrong. I put the glass upside down over the hole so the flame/smoke rises, and it's worked every time since. The instructions are bad, but if you follow these steps, it will work every time.

The kit includes detailed instructions and all the necessary tools: a wire brush for cleaning, a spoon, and six different types of wood for smoking: oak, pear, apple, cherry, hickory, and beech. The instructions are simple and clear, except for the amount of wood. The wooden bowl is large enough for two scoops, but you don't need that much. You really only need one scoop to smoke several drinks. It would be perfect if there were recommendations on what the different wood chips go well with. But I can always just Google it.

And versatile. I have three whiskey smokers, two with burners, and as far as smoking goes, this one is the best. Very easy to use, no burner required, produces smoke quickly and in a controlled manner…more suited to a restaurant/bar setting. The unit is large enough to fit directly over a single glass. It also works with a decanter if you want to pre smoke or smoke multiple ounces. This one ticks all the boxes. If I had a downside, it would be to use more smoking chips at this point, but I already have plenty, so it's not an issue for me.

Fits almost any glass. I'd like to say something about the contents of this set. It contains apple, hickory, pear, cherry, and oak wood chips. My husband drinks a lot of whiskey and bourbon, and I'm often looking for gifts for him that can enhance the taste, the smell, or simply the atmosphere. I saw this one, and it looked really interesting. We haven't tried it yet and actually created smoke with it. I can say that so far, it has many advantages.
