bought two and use them all the time. While the accuracy isn't 100% reliable, neither is a police breathalyzer. That mouthpieces can spike your results is a good thing. It reminds you that you're in trouble if you don't give the alcohol enough time to wear off. Mouthpieces usually evaporate within 20 minutes. If you're still too high, take a taxi. It's a cheap backup to make you think twice before drinking and driving. They're also a lot of fun at parties if you buy extra mouthpieces.

Safety first. Seems to work quite well. Multiple measurements produce the same or very similar result. I would always blow twice just to be safe. Like with a breathalyzer, the longer you wait, the more accurate the result. So if you test within a few minutes of drinking, you'll get a falsely high reading.

Simple and as accurate as you can get for $99. I've been using this device for two weeks, comparing it to another, cheaper breathalyzer I own. This one, in my opinion, provides a significantly more accurate reading. The cheaper device reads 0.000 after a few hours and a few beers. This one still reads 0.010, then gradually drops to 0.005, and so on, until it finally reaches 0.000 another hour later. I would recommend it to anyone needing a home breathalyzer.

nice mid-range tester. The button operation could be better. It comes with a nice travel case and includes additional interchangeable mouthpieces. This is a nice improvement over the cheap 20-count devices and seems to provide more consistent readings. Follow the instructions, especially the 20-minute rest before testing. Any alcohol in your mouth from a recent drink can seriously skew the readings. It also seems to work better to drink a glass of water before testing. It's been found to be useful when drinking strong craft beers to get a baseline for compliance. These beers can be difficult to assess and often have surprising effects in small amounts. The button operation could be improved and can be difficult to use, but overall it's a good device and comes with several interchangeable mouthpieces so it can be passed around as needed. It's nice not to have to guess when it's safe to drive home.

Very easy to use, and you don't need a strong airflow to get a reading. It should be easy to exhale for people with limited abilities, such as asthma. The volume of the signal when blowing out a sample isn't obnoxious, but just loud enough to be easily heard. The memory function is a nice plus if you need to sample under specific circumstances to understand possible results, or, as in my case, if certain medications or inhalers could trigger a false positive.
